How much is tempered glass on display worth?

From Xprotector offers a wide variety of films and glass for many different types of phones. Films can protect your display from scratches and dirt, but there are also tempered glass protectors that are promised to stand up to more serious tests. And Xprotector has decided to show them in real life, so they've brought us two iPhone 6S and a machine that can perfectly simulate the same test several times in a row. It's an electromagnetic machine that releases a metal ball from a height you set so that it falls with exactly the same force and exactly where you want it to fall, at any given time.

The machine is set at a height of 95 centimetres, and the ball weighs 110 grams on the scale. We put the tempered glass on one iPhone 6S, but left the other one as it was, and then saw what happens to them when we drop the ball on it. The results are on video:

From Xprotector tempered glass did its job, protecting the display as a kind of shield, even though it was itself damaged in this mission. But that's its job, it's still much, much cheaper to protect it than to replace the panel, while the usability of the phone is not compromised one iota. But even a tempered glass like this can't protect you from everything (if the phone falls on its heel, it can be subjected to forces that can crack the screen even under the tempered glass, and to avoid this, it's worth tokot use), but most accidents involving the display can be prevented by using it.
